Latte or Flat White?

因為會胃痛平時我不太喝咖啡,
所以對於咖啡的品味就不太行了,
甚至對酒的味道還比較有點概念。

之前在澳洲因為Kaye點的Latte用我們少見的玻璃杯裝,
引起了我對澳洲Latte的注意。
今天碰巧再書店看到一本雪梨的旅遊書,
隨手翻翻,原來還有一種澳洲人常喝的coffee叫"Flat white"
看起來就跟Latte沒啥兩樣!但事實上,兩者還是有點不同的....
或許有些內行人早就知道了,
不過就當發表一下我個人的新發現吧!

"Ordering coffee is a bit like ordering a drink at an unfamiliar bar, you don't always know what you are going to get. The Queensland "upside down latte" where the coffee shot is poured gently over a spoon so it "floats" in a layer between the milk and the froth is virtually unknown in other parts of Australia. According to the Australian Standard Coffee Menu, a latte and a flat white are the same drink, a single shot of espresso topped with silky smooth finely textured milk with 5 to 10mm of froth.
